WASA sets Rs425m recovery target, strict action against defaulters

Muhammad Muzamil Awan : Faisalabad: Managing Director WASA Saqib Raza has assigned a revenue recovery target of Rs425 million for the month of May, directing officials to intensify efforts for achieving the goal. Chairing a meeting of revenue directorates, he emphasized field activity and strict monitoring of recovery operations. Authorities were instructed to disconnect connections of habitual defaulters, while offering installment relief to cooperative consumers. Commercial users will face strict action, including disconnection of sewerage services in case of non-payment. Officials also highlighted the need to improve recovery from private housing societies and strengthen coordination between operations and revenue teams to resolve sewerage issues alongside enhancing collections.
