Islamabad: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Privatisation and P3A Board Chairperson Muhammad Ali chaired the 44th meeting of the Public Private Partnership Authority, where the Board approved Project Development Facility support for the Special Technology Zones Authority’s proposed Islamabad Technopolis Project. The support will allow STZA to engage a qualified transaction adviser and structure the technology park for development through a public-private partnership model. According to P3A, the proposed purpose-built technology hub is intended to promote technology exports, innovation, skilled employment and technology transfer while attracting private-sector investment. At this stage, the approval relates to project preparation and PPP structuring; it is not an announcement that construction of the Technopolis has started or that the technology park has been launched.
