WASA Rawalpindi orders strict action to ensure water, drainage services

Rawalpindi: Managing Director WASA Rawalpindi Aziz Ullah chaired a key meeting to review water supply, sewerage, drainage, and revenue operations across the city. Officials were directed to ensure uninterrupted water provision and an efficient drainage system to address public complaints. The MD emphasized strict field presence of officers and immediate resolution of citizen issues through practical measures. Authorities warned that negligence in service delivery will not be tolerated, with enhanced monitoring mechanisms introduced to improve performance. The meeting also reviewed revenue recovery, where officials were instructed to issue notices to defaulters and disconnect connections in case of non-payment. The steps aim to strengthen municipal services and ensure accountability in urban management.
