LDA seals 233 illegal commercial properties in Lahore crackdown

Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority has launched a major crackdown against illegal commercial activities, sealing 233 properties across multiple areas under its controlled jurisdiction. The operation was conducted in key localities including Defence Road, Wapda Town, Gulberg, Garden Town, GT Road, Muslim Town, Samanabad, and Sabzazar. Officials stated that properties were sealed due to unauthorized commercial use and non-payment of commercialisation fees. The sealed units include schools, restaurants, clinics, salons, and retail outlets. Authorities emphasized that the operation will continue without discrimination, with strict action against violators and illegal constructions. The move aims to regulate urban development, ensure compliance with building laws, and improve planned commercial activity across Lahore.
