LDA seals 80 properties, demolishes illegal commercial structures in Lahore

Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority has intensified its crackdown against illegal commercial activities and fee defaulters, sealing 80 properties and demolishing multiple unauthorized structures across key areas. The operation was conducted in Gulberg, Peco Road, College Road, and Azam Garden under strict directives from DG LDA Tahir Farooq. Officials stated that properties were sealed due to illegal commercial usage and non-payment of commercialisation fees. Several shops and structures on College Road were also demolished to ensure compliance with regulations. The sealed units include schools, academies, restaurants, clinics, and retail outlets. Authorities emphasized that enforcement actions will continue without discrimination to regulate urban development and ensure adherence to approved building laws.
