Twin cities on high alert, major bus terminals closed

Islamabad: Authorities have issued a high-level security alert in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, resulting in the closure of all major bus terminals across the twin cities. Officials stated that the precautionary move comes amid sensitive diplomatic developments involving Iran and the United States. Security monitoring has been intensified at key transport hubs, with law enforcement agencies deployed at sensitive locations. Public movement is being closely regulated to maintain order and ensure safety. While the restrictions have caused inconvenience for commuters and transport operators, authorities have urged citizens to cooperate with the measures. Normal transport operations are expected to resume once the security alert is lifted.
