Sharjah deploys firefighting robots for industrial safety

Sharjah: Sharjah Civil Defence has deployed six advanced firefighting robots to respond to high-risk industrial and warehouse fires while improving firefighter safety in extreme conditions. The FFBOT units can operate in temperatures above 500°C, discharge water and foam at 8,000 litres per minute, and reach up to 100 metres. Equipped with smart cameras, thermal sensors, GPS navigation, and remote-control systems, the robots can enter dangerous zones, including unstable structures and chemical fire sites. The technology matters because faster and safer emergency response can reduce property damage, protect industrial assets, and improve public safety confidence. It may also raise safety standards for warehouses, logistics hubs, and commercial real estate. Can smart robotics redefine emergency response in urban industrial zones?
