Dubai launches first AI-powered 24/7 smart bus station

Dubai: Dubai has launched its first AI-powered smart bus station at Mall of the Emirates, marking a major step in the emirate’s push for digital and integrated public transport. The facility operates 24/7 and offers real-time updates, interactive digital kiosks, journey planning, live bus arrival information and seamless connectivity with metro and taxi services. According to officials, the project is part of the RTA’s wider vision to build a tech-driven mobility network that improves passenger convenience, reduces waiting times and boosts operational efficiency. Such smart transit infrastructure also supports urban planning, commercial activity and property value around major mobility hubs. If expanded across the city, can this model redefine smart urban transport in Dubai?
