WASA Lahore Tightens Field Operations to Improve Water Supply and Drainage Services

Lahore: Managing Director WASA Lahore Ghufran Ahmed chaired an important operations meeting to review field performance, tube-well operating hours, water supply and ongoing development projects. Officials were directed to make field operations more effective and ensure timely delivery of water-supply and drainage services to citizens.

Ghufran Ahmed stressed that providing better water supply and sewerage services remains WASA Lahore’s priority, warning that negligence or delays in field operations would not be tolerated. Deputy Managing Director Operations, relevant directors and the NESPAK project director attended the meeting, while XENs participated through video link.

The directions are consistent with WASA Lahore’s wider operational policy in 2026. In earlier meetings, Ghufran Ahmed ordered officials to ensure quick resolution of public complaints, maintain uninterrupted water supply and accelerate development works.

WASA has also been strengthening city infrastructure under Lahore’s wider development programme, which included 741 kilometres of new sewer lines and 12 disposal stations as reported in July 2026.
