Lahore: Punjab’s Communications and Works Department reviewed progress on major road projects including Wagah Road in Lahore, the 128km Lillah–Jhelum Road and the 94.30km Gujrat–Salem to Sargodha Road. Provincial Minister Malik Sohaib Ahmed Bherth chaired the meeting and directed officials to ensure completion within the set deadlines. Authorities reported that work on the BRB Canal side of Wagah Road and decorative fountains has been completed, while several sections of the Lillah–Jhelum project are under construction with significant progress. The minister instructed departments to coordinate closely with FWO and NESPAK to resolve technical issues and maintain strict monitoring of the projects to ensure timely delivery.
