Punjab reviews 27 development schemes under annual development programme

Lahore: Punjab’s Industries and Commerce Minister Chaudhry Shafay Hussain chaired a review meeting to assess progress on development schemes under the Annual Development Programme. Officials informed the meeting that 27 projects are currently underway, including nine ongoing schemes, ten new initiatives and several priority projects linked to the chief minister’s development agenda. Authorities said Rs10,721 million was allocated for these projects, with Rs7,253 million released and about 45% already utilised. The minister highlighted that interest-free business financing and new industrial estates are boosting economic activity across the province. Officials were directed to accelerate work on development schemes and further strengthen industrial infrastructure in small industrial estates.
