Punjab Revenue Authority records 75% growth, collects over Rs41bn in February

Lahore: Punjab Revenue Authority recorded historic growth in tax collection during February, achieving a 75% increase compared with the same month last year. Officials reported that more than Rs41 billion in revenue was collected, significantly higher than Rs23.6 billion gathered in February of the previous fiscal year. Chairman Muazzam Iqbal Sapra chaired a review meeting where provincial officers joined via video link and were commended for improved performance. Authorities attributed the rise to implementation of reform measures and modern tax collection systems introduced by the provincial government. Officials said stronger revenue growth will support financial stability and enable timely completion of development and welfare projects across Punjab.
