Over 1.5 million benefit from Punjab Ramadan relief programme

Lahore: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bukhari said the Ramadan Nigahban relief programme is continuing successfully across the province, providing financial assistance and food support to millions of deserving citizens. According to official figures, more than 1.57 million people have benefited from the Nigahban Ramadan Dastarkhwan initiative. Authorities also distributed over 2.6 million Nigahban cards, while more than 2.3 million cards were delivered directly to households. Around 1.96 million cards have already been cashed by beneficiaries. Through the “Maryam Ko Batain” mobile application, nearly 13,892 citizens have also received financial assistance of Rs10,000 each. Officials say the programme aims to ensure transparent and dignified support for low-income families during Ramadan.
