LDA approves auction mechanism for utility sites in private housing schemes

Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority governing body held an emergency meeting and approved a formal mechanism for auctioning public utility sites located within private housing schemes. Officials said the decision aims to improve transparency and ensure proper use of high-value urban land. The meeting also decided that matters related to key revenue lands will be monitored on a daily basis under the supervision of the Deputy Commissioner. Authorities reviewed implementation of the master plan in areas including Johar Town and discussed approval procedures for private housing schemes. LDA officials stressed that violations of planning regulations will not be tolerated and strict compliance with legal requirements will be ensured across all schemes.
