Punjab launches first health monitoring system in Pakistan

Lahore: Punjab has introduced the first-of-its-kind Health Monitoring System in Pakistan, aimed at improving healthcare service delivery across the province. The system tracks staff attendance, doctor response, patient care, cleanliness, and overall facility performance. It actively monitors District Headquarters Hospitals (DHQs), Tehsil Headquarters Hospitals (THQs), mobile clinics, and Maryam Nawaz field hospitals through live camera surveillance. Officials state that this initiative ensures transparency, accountability, and higher healthcare standards while enabling timely interventions. Experts believe such monitoring can strengthen patient trust, optimize resource allocation, and enhance urban healthcare infrastructure.
