LDA cracks down on illegal commercial use, 111 properties sealed

Muzamil Awan: Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has intensified its crackdown against illegal commercial use of properties across multiple areas of the city. Acting on the directives of DG LDA Tahir Farooq, enforcement teams conducted operations in Gulshan Ravi, Shadman Colony, Canal Road, Gulberg, Faisal Town, Township and Allama Iqbal Town. Officials stated that a total of 111 properties were sealed due to illegal commercial activities and non-payment of commercial fees. The sealed units include schools, academies, workshops, restaurants, stores, clinics and offices. Authorities emphasized that operations will continue without discrimination to ensure compliance with urban planning laws and improve regulatory enforcement.
