Karachi: According to the supplied report, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC) and Frontier Works Organization (FWO) have signed an agreement to construct a dedicated water pipeline from Dumlottee to DHA and Clifton. The Rs14.237 billion project is designed to supply an additional 10 million gallons daily upon completion. Construction was announced to begin in the week following the agreement, with completion expected within a year. The revised cost covers design and material changes, taxes, inflation, filtration facilities and monitoring systems. Authorities say the pipeline aims to ease water shortages, reduce residents’ dependence on tankers and improve the reliability of water supply in both areas.
