Peshawar: Construction of the Dalazak Chowk Underpass has reached its final stages under the Peshawar Revitalisation Plan. The Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) has officially confirmed that work on the project is progressing under the provincial government’s urban-development programme, with senior PDA officials monitoring construction for timely completion.
The underpass is part of a wider programme to remove traffic bottlenecks on Peshawar’s major corridors. In August, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah inspected the Dalazak Chowk project along with other under-construction flyovers and underpasses and directed authorities to accelerate work while maintaining quality standards.
The latest PDA-linked update describes the project as being in the final stages, but no independently confirmed opening date was identified. Therefore, the viral wording that completion is only “a few days away” should be treated as the latest project-side expectation rather than a guaranteed opening deadline.
