Balochistan Launches Pink Bus Service for Women in Quetta

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has inaugurated the province’s first Pink Bus Service in Quetta, marking a major step toward providing safe, dignified, and accessible public transport for women.The CM said the initiative builds on earlier programs such as Pink Scooties and reflects the government’s strong commitment to women’s empowerment. He praised women deputy commissioners across the province, stating their performance demonstrates women’s ability to lead administrative roles effectively.CM Bugti said the Pink Bus Service, along with scholarships and development initiatives, aims to create broader opportunities for women. He also announced plans to expand the Green Bus Service to Pishin, Mastung, and Turbat, and revealed ongoing efforts to introduce electric buses to reduce pollution. The Quetta–Sariab Peoples Train Project was also highlighted as a key mobility initiative.
