Electric Buses Announced for Another Punjab City

The Punjab government has announced the launch of a new electric bus service in Jhang, beginning operations on December 12 under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Green Initiative.
According to the Punjab Transport Company, the service will run on three major routes:
• GBS Jhang → Gojra Bypass
• Bus Stand Jhang → Aliabad
• GBS Jhang → UVAS
Officials stated that the new buses aim to provide safe, clean, and comfortable travel options while reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions. The buses feature modern amenities such as WiFi and eco-friendly electric technology.The launch reflects the provincial government’s commitment to sustainable urban transport, following earlier rollouts in other districts. Authorities say the initiative will significantly improve daily mobility for Jhang residents and promote environmentally friendly public transport across Punjab.
