Sindh approves 100 new electric buses for urban transport

Karachi: The Sindh government has approved the addition of 100 electric buses to its public transport fleet, aiming to improve urban commuting and promote environmentally friendly travel across the province. Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, responsible for transport, information, and mass transit, announced the expansion on World Environment Day. The initiative seeks to address rising environmental challenges, reduce emissions, and provide modern, sustainable transport solutions for residents. By enhancing public transport infrastructure, the project is expected to encourage greater ridership, reduce traffic congestion, and stimulate investment in urban transport systems.
