Residents of Fazlia Colony Protest Over Broken Sewerage System

LAHORE: Residents of Fazlia Colony held a protest against the deteriorating sewerage system and lack of attention from local authorities. Locals stated that for the past three to four years, the sewerage infrastructure has collapsed, causing stagnant dirty water on streets and alleys. Women, elderly, and children are facing severe difficulties in daily life, while stagnant water is promoting mosquito breeding and increasing the risk of diseases. Complainants said that emergency vehicles also struggle to access the area during medical or other emergencies. Residents urged authorities to immediately install new sewerage pipelines, repair roads, and resolve the colony’s basic sanitation issues.
