Lahore: The Punjab government will transition to a fully digital land ownership system starting July, phasing out paper-based fard documents. The initiative aims to modernize land records, enhance transparency, and simplify property transactions across the province. Officials state that digitalization will reduce fraud, improve record-keeping efficiency, and provide easier access for citizens and investors. By moving to a secure online platform, the system is expected to streamline property transfers, facilitate urban planning, and strengthen confidence in Punjab’s real estate market. Experts believe this shift will mark a significant milestone in modern property administration in Pakistan.
