Parliament Sessions Called Ahead of June 12 Budget Presentation

Islamabad: The government has called sessions of both the National Assembly and Senate on June 10 in preparation for the presentation of the federal budget for fiscal year 2026-27. Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry confirmed the National Assembly will meet at 5:00 pm and the Senate at 4:00 pm. The budget presentation is now expected on June 12, after consultations on fiscal measures and allocations. Authorities are coordinating with the International Monetary Fund to align revenue targets, expenditure priorities, and development spending plans. The session sets the stage for discussions on Pakistan’s economic strategy and upcoming fiscal reforms.
