BYD Builds 73‑Acre EV Manufacturing Hub in Sindh, Pakistan

Karachi: BYD, a leading global electric vehicle manufacturer and competitor to Tesla, has established a 73‑acre EV production hub in Sindh, Pakistan. The facility represents a major expansion of electric mobility manufacturing in the region and integrates Pakistan into BYD’s international production network. Officials highlighted that the project will boost local EV assembly, create employment opportunities, and strengthen Pakistan’s automotive and battery industry ecosystem. With significant investment support, the initiative aims to accelerate the country’s transition to electric mobility while enhancing industrial development and technological expertise.
