Punjab reviews livestock development projects and recovery progress

Lahore: The Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Department held a high-level review meeting chaired by Secretary Livestock Ahmad Aziz Tarar to assess administrative performance, development projects, and the recovery status under the Punjab Livestock Card (PLC) program. Senior officials reviewed district-level recovery progress, veterinary medicine availability, laboratory operations, pending payments, and the utilization of Annual Development Program (ADP) funds. The meeting also evaluated the construction, rehabilitation, and upgradation of veterinary hospitals, operation theatres, and laboratories across Punjab. These initiatives are important for strengthening livestock infrastructure, improving rural economic activity, and supporting agricultural communities. Better veterinary facilities and development spending can contribute to regional growth and investment confidence.
