Punjab makes online attendance mandatory in government schools

Punjab: The government has made online attendance mandatory for both students and teachers in public schools to improve transparency and record management. Officials stated that attendance must be marked digitally, and failure to do so will result in being marked absent Authorities highlighted that strict action will be taken against schools that fail to ensure complete data entry. Monitoring teams will conduct inspections, and school heads will be held accountable for any discrepancies. Experts believe that the initiative will strengthen oversight, reduce absenteeism and modernize the education system through digital integration.
