Punjab CM Maryam launches mobile veterinary fleet in Lahore

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has inaugurated a mobile veterinary fleet to provide livestock treatment facilities at farmers’ doorsteps across the province. She inspected a modern mobile dispensary, diagnostic laboratory and X-ray unit, and approved the proposed design of model veterinary hospitals to be established at the tehsil level. The newly launched fleet includes 30 mobile veterinary dispensaries and 17 mobile laboratories equipped with ultrasound, X-ray and on-site testing facilities. Officials said veterinary assistants had also been provided with 6,964 motorbikes to reach livestock farmers. The chief minister directed the Livestock Department to organize a provincial livestock conference and improve animal breeding, disease prevention, vaccination and veterinary healthcare services throughout Punjab.
