Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Orders Removal of Illegal House Ramps

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities to remove illegal ramps built outside houses where they obstruct public roads or passageways. The order was issued during a review of development projects being undertaken through own-source revenue in the Sargodha and Dera Ghazi Khan divisions.

The chief minister also ordered the installation of roadside drain covers made from recycled plastic. The meeting additionally agreed that concrete flowerpots should not be placed along roadsides or road medians.

Officials said 20 development projects are planned in Sargodha Division, including eight in Sargodha district and six each in Khushab and Bhakkar. Road construction and rehabilitation projects were reviewed alongside sewerage and drainage schemes in Rajanpur, Rojhan, Kot Mithan, Jampur and Dajal.
