PHA Lahore reviews ‘Plant for Pakistan’ drive in high-level meeting

Muhammad Muzamil Awan: Lahore: A high-level meeting chaired by Additional Managing Director PHA Lahore Zona Waheed Butt was held at Jillani Park to review progress on the “Plant for Pakistan” campaign. All horticulture directors participated and were briefed on future strategy. Officials were directed to identify new green pockets across the city for plantation, improve park landscaping, and ensure replanting in areas where greenery has diminished. Instructions were also issued to carry out tree washing before smog season, restore faulty water motors, and implement tree geo-tagging for better monitoring. Authorities emphasized public-private partnerships for plantation drives, reaffirming their commitment to making Lahore greener and more environmentally sustainable.
