Islamabad: Wheat production in Pakistan is expected to reach 29.31 million tons during the ongoing Rabi season 2025-26, with cultivation area recorded at 9.39 million hectares. Officials stated that the increase in output is part of government efforts to strengthen food security and boost agricultural productivity. Authorities highlighted that favorable weather conditions, improved seed quality and modern farming techniques have contributed to the expected rise in production. Measures have also been taken to ensure better water availability and timely supply of agricultural inputs. Experts believe that higher wheat output will help stabilize flour supply, reduce reliance on imports and improve farmers’ income, contributing positively to the overall agricultural economy.
