Pakistan-China Healthcare Deals Cross $1.7 Billion With 120 Agreements

The Pakistan–China B2B Investment Conference on Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology and Healthcare concluded in Islamabad with participating companies signing more than 120 memorandums of understanding, joint ventures and commercial agreements worth over $1.7 billion. The agreements cover pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, vaccines, biologics, active pharmaceutical ingredients, medical devices, clinical research and Traditional Chinese Medicine. The two-day conference was held in Islamabad on July 16–17 and brought together government institutions, regulators and private-sector representatives from both countries. Officials said follow-up work would begin to convert the signed understandings into binding contracts, factories and manufacturing plants, supporting technology transfer, local production and long-term industrial cooperation between Pakistan and China.
