Abu Dhabi: The UAE’s state energy company ADNOC has approved a $6.2 billion investment for the offshore Umm Shaif Gas Cap project, marking a major step in Abu Dhabi’s energy expansion strategy. The project is being developed with international partners including TotalEnergies, Eni, and China National Petroleum Corporation. It is expected to produce more than 600 million standard cubic feet of gas per day from 2030, supporting the UAE’s plan to increase natural gas output and strengthen LNG capabilities.
