Multan sewerage mega projects reviewed under Punjab Development Program

Multan: A high-level meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office to review progress on major sewerage projects under the Punjab Development Program. Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Nauman Siddique briefed lawmakers and political representatives on timelines, targets and implementation status. Officials stated that WASA projects worth Rs 25.8 billion have been approved to provide a long-term solution to sewerage issues. The plan includes laying 232 kilometres of new sewerage lines, upgrading two major disposal stations and activating 400 water filtration plants. Authorities believe these initiatives will significantly improve sanitation, reduce urban flooding and enhance living conditions across Multan.
