LDA cracks down on illegal housing, 10 schemes sealed and structures demolished

Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has launched a powerful crackdown against illegal housing schemes, targeting 10 unauthorized projects across the city. Acting on the directives of DG LDA Tahir Farooq, enforcement teams sealed scheme offices and demolished boundary walls, gates, roads and other illegal structures. Officials stated that multiple notices had been issued earlier, but strict action was taken after non-compliance. Authorities emphasized that such operations are part of an ongoing campaign to eliminate illegal housing, unauthorized constructions and unlawful commercial activities. Experts believe the move will protect buyers from fraud, strengthen regulatory enforcement and bring transparency to the real estate sector.
