Lahore Traffic Police Cracks Down on Fake and Unauthorized Number Plates

Lahore – The Lahore Traffic Police has launched a strict crackdown against vehicles using fake, altered, or unauthorized number plates across the city. Chief Traffic Officer Syed Abdul Raheem Shirazi emphasized that criminal cases will be registered against violators, including vehicles without plates, fake green government-style plates, blue beacon lights, and modified registration details. Authorities aim to strengthen enforcement, improve public safety, and ensure vehicle identification remains accurate for law enforcement, accident investigations, and traffic monitoring. The operation is part of a broader push to enhance road safety and curb criminal misuse of vehicles in Lahore.
