Lahore road decay worsens public misery

Lahore: The main road of Punjab Cooperative Society, linked with Main Ghazi Road, has fallen into severe disrepair, causing major inconvenience for residents and daily commuters. Rainwater mixed with sewage has accumulated on the road, while potholes at multiple points are disrupting traffic flow and increasing the risk of accidents for pedestrians and motorcyclists. Residents say repeated complaints and applications have been submitted to the relevant authorities, but no practical action has been taken so far. The worsening road condition is not only affecting mobility and public safety, but also lowering the area’s livability and harming nearby commercial activity and property value perception. Will the authorities now move from promises to urgent on-ground repair and sewerage improvement?
