Lahore Police arrests 4,220 power theft suspects, intensifies crackdown

Lahore: Lahore Police has intensified its crackdown against electricity theft, bringing 4,220 suspects to justice so far this year. According to officials, 430 individuals were arrested during the month of March alone, while a total of 3,960 cases have been registered. Authorities stated that strict action is being taken in coordination with relevant departments to curb power theft and protect national resources. CCPO Lahore Bilal Siddique Kamyana emphasized that zero tolerance is being maintained against those involved in electricity theft, adding that such elements will face strict legal consequences. The ongoing campaign aims to ensure transparency, reduce losses and improve the overall power distribution system in the city.
