Bilal Yasin directs 24/7 work on Punjab Development Plan, warns action over delays

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Housing and Urban Development Bilal Yasin chaired a high-level meeting to review progress on Punjab Development Plan projects, focusing on drainage and WASA-related works. Officials from 16 districts briefed on the pace and quality of ongoing development. The minister directed authorities to complete all critical components within set deadlines and ensure round-the-clock work to accelerate progress. He warned of action against officers failing to meet targets and instructed prioritisation of road-side drainage systems, new disposal stations and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure. Authorities believe these measures will significantly reduce urban flooding and improve municipal services. A detailed progress report has been sought by April 7 to ensure accountability and timely completion.
