Lahore Plans Major Inner Circular Road Revamp as Parking Plazas Hit 75%

Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and TEPA are working on a proposed urban-regeneration plan for Inner Circular Road and Circle Garden. DG LDA Tahir Farooq reviewed the proposal at a meeting where officials briefed him on road rehabilitation, restoration of Circle Garden and improvements planned along the corridor.

The proposed plan includes road rehabilitation, improved footpaths, U-turns, a utility corridor, removal of encroachments, parking solutions and more uniform development along Circular Road. Property facades along the corridor are also expected to be improved under the regeneration concept.

Separately, officials reported that the Nila Gumbad and Nasir Bagh underground parking plazas are around 75% complete. DG LDA directed teams to accelerate construction and install an international-standard parking-management system in both facilities.
