Lahore Hockey Stadium mess expansion to serve 300 players at once

Lahore: Expansion work on the Sports Board Punjab mess at Hockey Stadium is underway to improve food and seating facilities for players. Officials say the existing mess was small and could serve around 80 to 100 players at one time, while the upgraded facility will accommodate nearly 250 to 300 players together. The old storeroom has been removed and merged into the mess area to create more space. Sports Board Punjab hostels currently have capacity for around 350 players, and during tournaments, athletes from different cities arrive in large numbers. The upgraded mess is being developed to ensure smoother meal arrangements for players. Better sports facilities can strengthen event hosting, youth activity, and Lahore’s sports infrastructure. Will this upgrade improve player services at the stadium?
