Islamabad Intensifies Action Against Illegal Foreign Residents

Authorities in Islamabad have intensified operations against illegally residing foreign nationals following a high-level meeting chaired by Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman Capital Development Authority. Senior officials from Islamabad Police, district administrations, the Ministry of Interior, NADRA, and PTA reviewed progress and outlined future strategy. Officials reported that repatriation efforts are ongoing, with most individuals returning voluntarily. Authorities have also begun legal action against property owners and guest houses providing accommodation to illegal residents. Measures include restricting utilities such as electricity and preventing illegal residents from accessing housing or employment. The initiative aims to improve security, regulate urban housing use, and ensure compliance with residency laws.
