Iran begins LPG supply to Pakistan via rail tankers

Islamabad: Iran has started supplying liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to Pakistan using specialized rail tankers, marking a new development in bilateral energy cooperation. The shipments aim to supplement Pakistan’s fuel supply and reduce import costs amid rising domestic demand. Officials indicated that the rail-based supply route provides an alternative to conventional transport channels, ensuring more reliable fuel deliveries. Energy observers highlighted that this development could strengthen Pakistan-Iran trade ties and contribute to energy security, particularly during periods of domestic shortages or global supply challenges.
