AD Ports completes $835m Brazil logistics acquisition

Abu Dhabi: AD Ports Group has completed its largest-ever acquisition by purchasing Brazilian agri-bulk terminal operator Corredor Logística e Infraestrutura for AED3.1 billion, or about $835 million. The deal marks the group’s first entry into Latin America and significantly expands its global agrifood logistics network. CLI operates major export terminals at the Ports of Santos and Itaqui, handling millions of tonnes of agricultural cargo each year. The acquisition is expected to strengthen UAE-Brazil trade ties and support AD Ports’ strategy of building major East–West trade corridors linking South America with Asia and Africa. As global food logistics become more strategic, can this deal reshape agricultural trade connectivity across emerging markets?
