DC Lahore intensifies crackdown on profiteers, seals supermarket

Lahore: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Captain (R) Muhammad Ali Ijaz, the district administration intensified its crackdown against profiteers and price violators across the city. Assistant Commissioner Sadar Dr Abid Mumtaz Sial inspected various supermarkets under the price control campaign. During the operation, one major supermarket was sealed for overcharging, while fines worth Rs110,000 were imposed on violators. The DC warned that no leniency will be shown to elements involved in artificial price hikes and directed all stores to prominently display official rate lists. Authorities reaffirmed that strict enforcement will continue to provide relief to citizens.
