Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority has ordered a 25-day operation to remove unauthorised occupants and demolish illegal structures at its water-supply facilities across the federal capital. A directive issued by the CDA Directorate of Water Supply on September 9 covers waterworks, sumps, tube wells, and overhead and underground water tanks. According to ProPakistani, deputy directors have been instructed to clear CDA land with assistance from the Enforcement Directorate, Islamabad Police and other relevant agencies. The directive also identifies rooms and residential quarters allegedly constructed beyond approved layouts. Officials must complete the operation and report compliance within the stipulated period. The order initiates a time-bound enforcement process; it does not establish that all identified structures have already been demolished or every site recovered.
