Murree: The Murree Forest Division, assisted by the district administration, has reportedly begun demolishing a multi-storey plaza identified by officials as an illegal construction on state forest land. The operation is intended to remove the encroachment and return the occupied land to government control. The precise location, area and official valuation of the property were not disclosed in the supplied report and could not be independently confirmed. The action is consistent with the Punjab government’s declared campaign against encroachments on forest land. Deputy Commissioner Agha Zaheer Abbas Shirazi also recently said that operations against encroachments on state land in Murree would continue without discrimination, according to an APP report. Demolition and land-recovery proceedings remain ongoing.
