Work begins on three underpasses along Peshawar Road

Rawalpindi: Construction work has officially started on three new underpasses along Peshawar Road to address traffic congestion and improve vehicle flow in the city. Authorities have initiated relocation of trees to clear space for the project, stating that environmental considerations are being managed carefully to preserve greenery wherever possible. The infrastructure upgrade aims to reduce travel time, enhance road safety, and streamline movement for daily commuters using one of the busiest corridors in Rawalpindi. Officials believe the underpasses will modernise the city’s urban transport network and significantly ease pressure on surrounding intersections. Once completed, the project is expected to provide long-term relief from traffic bottlenecks and improve overall commuting efficiency in the area.
