Al Haram City Turns the Spotlight on Modern Family Living in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: Al Haram City is promoting its residential community as a planned environment focused on family living, security, modern infrastructure and improved lifestyle facilities. The latest promotional update highlights landscaped surroundings, organised development and amenities intended for residents.

However, regulatory status needs to be understood phase by phase. Rawalpindi Development Authority’s current housing-scheme information lists Al Haram City Phase 1 at Kolian Par, Chakri Road with its layout plan (LOP) approved. An RDA housing-status record also identifies Al-Haram City at Kolian Par as approved over approximately 330.92 kanals.

At the same time, RDA records separately identify some extensions/phases carrying the Al-Haram City name as illegal or unauthorized. In March 2025, RDA took enforcement action against Al-Haram City Phase-I Part-II at Kolian Per, while RDA records have also listed certain Phase-II schemes as illegal.

Therefore, the latest lifestyle claims should be treated as developer marketing, and buyers should verify the exact phase, block, plot location and approval status before investing.
