Lahore: The Punjab government has accelerated sanitation and rain response operations across the province following heavy monsoon showers. On the directions of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Director General of the Suthra Punjab Authority, Umar Javed, visited several districts to inspect field operations and review cleanliness arrangements. During his visit to Gujranwala, he received a briefing on sanitation measures, inspected the Suthra Punjab control room and reviewed the handling of public complaints received over the previous 24 hours. Authorities stated that cleanup teams remain active in clearing roads, markets and public spaces to maintain hygiene and support uninterrupted drainage during the ongoing monsoon spell.
